Our fixed fee packages cover all work until we receive a formal written decision for the application or appeal for which you have instructed us.
Please be advised that our agreed fixed fee does not cover disbursements, which are costs that are payable to third parties, such as Home Office application fees or fees for expert reports or barristers. However, we will not move forward without informing you of any additional costs and ascertaining your approval before these costs are incurred.
All our fees are exclusive of VAT. If VAT is applicable we shall let you know in advance at the point of sending you an invoice.
How we calculate our basic charges
We have calculated the above fixed fees according to the amount of time we anticipate we shall have to spend on your matter. We also take into account the grade of fee earner who will be working on your matter.
On most matters, your matter will be attended to by a Grade 2, 3 or 4 fee earner under the supervision of our Principal Solicitor who is a Grade 1 fee earner.
These are calculated for each hour engaged on your matter. Routine letters and telephone calls will be charged as units of one tenth of an hour. Other letters and telephone calls will be charged on a time basis. The hourly rates are:
