Do I have a right of appeal?
Only some refusals carry one: human rights, protection and EU Settlement Scheme claims. Most other refusals carry administrative review instead. Your refusal letter says which. We will read it with you.
How long do I have?
To appeal: 14 days if you are in the UK, 28 days if outside. For administrative review: 14 days in the UK, 7 days if detained, 28 days outside. Count from when you received the decision, but treat the earliest possible date as your deadline.
I missed the deadline. Is it too late?
Not necessarily. The tribunal can extend time if you explain the delay. Contact us immediately.
Should I appeal or just reapply?
It depends on why you were refused. A fresh application can be quicker where the problem was missing evidence. An appeal can be stronger where the decision was wrong in law or ignored your family life.
