The Parent of a Child Student Visa serves as a pathway for one parent to enter or extend their stay in the United Kingdom to provide nurturing care and support for their child (or children) attending an independent fee-paying school under the Child Student Visa program.
Applicants must be able to showcase financial reserves of £1,560 for each month of the planned stay in the UK, capped at a maximum of 9 months. Additionally, an allocation of £625 for each month of the intended stay, up to 9 months, is required for any additional children under the applicant’s care in the UK. These funds must have been held for a minimum of 28 consecutive days, ending not more than 31 days before the submission of the visa application.
The granted visa will remain valid until the same expiration date as the Child Student’s visa or until the Child Student reaches their 12th birthday, whichever event transpires first.

Applicants must demonstrate genuine intentions to pursue short-term studies in the UK, ensuring adherence to visa conditions, honest representation of study duration, and no misuse of successive study periods to prolong stay or bypass visa requirements.
Individuals cannot switch to the Short-term Student (English Language) route from within the UK; applications must be made from outside the country.
Successful applicants receive a visa valid for 11 months, with conditions prohibiting employment, access to public funds, and study beyond the approved course.
Extensions or settlement under the Short-term Student (English Language) route are not permitted.
Short-term Students cannot bring dependents (partners or children) to the UK.
